Today, my mom took away my car, phone, dog, laptop and college fund because I told her she lets me down sometimes. I'm moving to Arizona for college in two weeks. FML

I'm sure that you will get everything back before you go, if not that's pretty messed up, especially taking your dog.

To the people that are saying that OPs mom took that stuff because they bought it all, that's not always the case. My moms taken my things as punishment and broken a couple (long story, not important now) despite the fact that I worked for the money and bought it myself

How old are you? If you're 18, isn't that technically theft?

She took away your dog? That's cruel for your pet, who will feel neglected after not seeing its owner after too long. Your mom needs help.

If you pay for your car and phone, and you paid for your dog and laptop, then she has no right to take those, and taking away a kid's college fund two weeks before they leave for college is just outright crazy

I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe a college starts school midway through a summer semester.

I moved up to where I live for college about three weeks early to get settled and find a job before classes so I had less stress when they started. OP's mom sounds like way too much to deal with, like mine is. Sometimes you just gotta get out of the house asap and cut off as much contact as possible, don't be condescending about the dates. It's rude, and you don't know the whole story.

So she's punishing you by proving you right?

Totally off base here, although your mom sounds crazy, where are you going to school? From, A current wildcat ?⬇️❤️

Oh I remember those days, fight to the death and never give up

Petty. Even if she's hurt, she shouldn't cut off your college fund without warning. And taking your dog is just cruel.

How do you confiscate a living being is my question
