Today, after spending $120 to have a bouquet of flowers delivered to my mom, she called to complain that I had forgotten about her for Mother's day, but also praise my sister for apparently receiving my flowers I sent at the door and passing them off as hers. FML

Mother's Day has always been the worst holiday ever in my family's house. Some moms you just can't win with. I think that if he knew that Mother's Day was the 10th, and she didn't, he probably would have remembered better than she.

That second bit was most likely a coverup to save herself embarrassment. I hope you continue through with what you planned to give her, be it card, flowers, dinner, or what have you; regardless of what she says, you are doing the proper thing.

hey dude we're all on the same boat. I told my mother happy mother's day, she didn't even give me a smile. I bought her a gift, she proceeded to tell me I just did it so I could go out with my friends.
