We hear about mothers throwing out important papers, deleting info on computers, destroying/selling collection items every so often. Makes me wonder - are they all stupid entitled brats? I should know the answer as my mom is doing the same regularly (except for collection items, I don't have any exactly for this reason). FYL, FML....
And the mom who sold her son's '63 split window coupe for $100 because she was tired of looking at it. It was a $25,000 car.
whom owned the title of the car? if the son had the title, the mother couldn't legally sell it as it is not her property. If it belonged to the father or mother than it was not really the son's. I don't buy this story. I mean the parent could try and sell it. but without the title or permission from the title owner, whomever bought the car would have to return it as it would be stolen goods... technically. doesn't matter if the person whom stole from you, lives with you.
Parents... Sorry that this happened, OP!
My mom used to have this issue, she would try to "clean up" by just throwing everything away without looking at it or trying to find out if it was important or not. She finally stopped after she threw away my homework...a five-page paper that I had spent the entire week working on (this was in high school, so pretty standard assignment) and was due that day. Finally learned that if it wasn't hers, she needed to leave it alone, or at least just put it in the room of whoever it did belong to if it was left out.
Your mom had to throw your papers out. See, her and your dad were getting frisky and... well, the papers had to get thrown away.

I hope you made friends with someone in the class who took notes like you did. Maybe you can copy them in time to study them. Sorry to hear that. I hope all goes well.
