i think what your saying is completely out of hand. the foetus WILL be a human being, it's not the fact that it isnt yet. because someday it will grow into one. which counts as murder, just premature murder. i think that what Pjotter was saying is completley correct. if she is too young to be having a child, then this is most certainly her fault. if she is old enough to have a child, but she doesnt want it then it's still partly her fault and she got into this mess by herself. if she's married and is having a child with her happy husband, then yippee for her. she's going to be a mum. she should tell her mum just in a casual conversation. and if she got pregnant when she was drunk; then that's a completely different matter. it's completely her fault and she should feel terrible. but the family communication troubles are very bad, and she should try her hardest to make it better. maybe take them out to dinner or something.

So any guy who has masturbated is a mass murderer, because sperm can "grow into one" (a human) if it meets up with an egg. Good logic.

lol i love the debate here! first off, Twinklestar, when did i EVER mention religion? knifesedge pretty much elaborated on what i was going for, but thanks for jumping the gun and assuming religion HAD a part in this. and nothing dictates that abortion will ALWAYS be legal, just you wait ;) finally, in theory, yes masturbation would be that bad, but good luck trying to prove that in a court room ;P (oh yes, lol i DID make a mistake. by YDI, i meant "your definitely an idiot" not "you deserve it," because with the information given, who am i to say you do or do not deserve something?)

Don't worry, abortion will always be legal here in the USA. Even when we had a Republican president and Republican controlled congress, no move was made to overturn Roe vs Wade. It wont ever be illegal. So Twinklestar, don't worry, the pro choicers have already won. Abortion will always be legal, thus rendering the bitching and moaning of the pro lifers useless ;) We could never go backwards like that; banning abortion would be like reversing the Civil Rights movement.

I didn't say you did mention religion. Are you incapable of reading? I said many cultures AND religions consider it acceptable or even normal to have children in your teens so why should your opinion, for which you've given no reasoning, be any more correct than that of so many cultures and religions who believe differently? Assuming you're from America and talking about your own country and not actually talking about the OPs situation(you seem pretty self absorbed), asides from some pretty specific laws that dictate abortion will always be legal, there's also the fact of practicality. Even in third world countries where abortion has never been legal and therefor very few doctors have actual training in the procedure, back street abortionists are very common. In a country like America where almost all doctors will have the knowledge to perform an abortion if it were to become illegal the only thing you accomplish is removing the controls currently in place. You would simply make abortions more dangerous, and more likely to occur in the second or third trimester. There's also the fact that if you want to call abortion murder, you have to call it murder in cases where it's performed to save the mothers life or after rape or incest. No country in the world that has legalized abortion is going to regress to forcing women to carry children resulting from rape or incest. (It's kind of funny if you meant "your definitely an idiot". It's "you're" not "your". Idiot. =) )

Nowadays, in most countries, a person is considered dead if their brain doesn't show any sign of activity. Seems logical, doesn't it? Even if that person is still on life support, no one says that that person is still alive if their brain has COMPLETELY stopped working (in this case, there is no chance of the person waking up) In the first couple of months, the fetus has no brain activity. Yet all those pro-lifers out there keep saying that life exists since the moment of conception. Idiots

jeez. i said it would 'grow' into one, not it is one. idiot ¬_¬ i know that if it was made by rape or whatever ever the hell you said, & the foetus isnt wanted, then why can't they just put it up for adoption? then other people that can't have children will love it & care for it. if it's to save the mother's life, then why should you kill a healthy baby for a woman that's life is almost over anyways. the child will have much more impact towards the world's system. if it was incest, then that's just wrong.

So if a woman is raped, not only should she have to go through that trauma, but also the trauma of bringing into the world the child of her rapist, not to mention the horrible pain pregnancy causes, the inability to do basic activities, possible complications that could put her life in danger, and then having to give up the child she held in her own body for 9 months possibly to never see it again. It seems like you will never understand how hard that would be unless you are actually raped and get pregnant. I'm not gonna wish that on you, so just think about it real hard if suddenly you were raped and got pregnant and how that would change your life, immediately and permanently.
