Today, my mother panicked and was about to report me missing when I didn't answer her calls while I was at a movie. I'm 31, and have lived on my own for over 10 years. FML

I could just see the police's response: Mom: "Officer, Officer, my son/daughter is missing!" Police: "Could you give me a description, ma'am?" Mom: "Well, he's 31, tall, has brown hair and brown eyes... Police: "Hold on hold on....31?" Mom: "Yes sir!" Police: -pauses- ... -click-

That would make sense at 13, not 31. Also, your mother seems kinda lonely.

fake as shit I love how people think that's it's legit, some 40tear old fat ass couldn't even think of a better story soo sad.

Over-protective mum is over-protective.

Someone either needs to cut the cord, or file a restraining order. I know that I would, if my parents pulled something like that.

You should have called your mom before you went to the movie. First, she wouldn't worry and second, she could have steered you away from that over-hyped piece of shit you ended up seeing. You'd be $10 and 100 minutes richer if you listened to Mom.

Obviously she's crying out for attention man. You should spend every waking moment with your poor mother. Haha but seriously you should probably call her once in a while.
