Today, my mother told my little sister and me that she has breast cancer to make us feel sorry so that we would clean our rooms. She is perfectly fine. My little sister still thinks that "mommy is going to die". FML

Today, my mother called me and told me that she went to the hospital. This wasn't a surprise 'cos she normally goes to the hospital for the smallest things. I was a smartass and asked, "What now? You finally have lung cancer from all those cigarettes?" Apparently, she does. FML

Today, my friend (she's 14) said she had lung cancer. This made me and my other friend very worried for her, but now we know she was faking it since when she was "at the hospital" she was at a friend's house, and her mom came to the school to confirm she was faking the whole thing. FML

Today, I found out that the giant tumour on my leg isn’t cancerous or dangerous. My mom cried, and I was super relieved. Later on, I heard her on the phone in tears because now she won’t be able to get a free vacation or home renovations from the Make A Wish foundation. FML

Today, I told my mother I was doing fine with my classes when I actually wasn't because her mother is dying, and I didn't want her to have more things to stress about. She found out and she's very hurt. I feel awful about it and I know lying wasn't the right thing to do, but in the moment I didn't want to cause her any more pain. FML

It's sad what parents have to do now to get their kids to listen to them! Cancer is a bit much but by the sounds of it the kids probably don't listen to their mother when she asks. Don't feel too bad for the kids.. feel bad that the mother has kids like that!

Just because her kids may not listen when she asks them to do something doesn't make it okay for the mom to tell a terrible lie like that. Every kid I know doesn't listen to their parents half the time, so don't give the mother that satisfaction

I can't even tell you how wrong that is! She better watch out, karma is real! I once pretended I was on crutches (I was a kid), 10 minutes later I was in the ER on crutches! Needless to say, I learned my lesson!!
