Sounds like you need to not have guns in your house if your bf is that stupid and careless.
It's idiots like your boyfriend that makes the rest of us not able to own guns
There's no such thing as an "accidental discharge", only "negligent discharge" if you're not capable of handling a weapon safely then for your own sake and those you love.... Don't pick one up! OP's boyfriend should seriously think twice before handling another firearm.
He could of killed someone shooting into the neighbours x
i love guns but how the **** are u so stupid
I feel like some big parts of the story are missing here.. first off, if that happened to the neighbors house ops boyfriend must have been right up next to the house because the neighbor though he drilled a hole into the wall. second of all would the neighbor have at very least heard the gun fire or found the bullet? also if I thought someone drilled a hole into my wall id be quite upset to say the least.. thank god no one ended up injured or killed from this! I hope there is a follow up to this because either way this could have ended very badly.
There are many types of homes, like townhomes and duplexes that share walls. Some have rather thin walls, like where I grew up. So drilling through accidentally is possible. Though most people would even get with their neighbors for something like that. I understand being scared of a bullet going through the wall, but suck it up, make sure everything is ok and take responsibility.
what size round was it....call me crazy but guns are not dangerous if you are safe hell I just took my 8 year-old cousin shooting today first time he ever shot a 12 gauge he was so happy (yes I had to help him hold it an yes I took the shock in my shoulder not his )
I really wish the neighbor had noticed it was a bullet and called the cops. And I'm really, really, really grateful it was a napkin holder and not someone sitting down at the table or a baby in a highchair. All guns are ALWAYS loaded. Always. Even if they are apart and in four pieces and you can see the empty chambers, you ALWAYS treat a gun as if it is loaded. There is no possible excuse for having a loaded gun go off in an apartment, other that it being dark as he tried to shoot a rapist in his apartment. And even then...you DO NOT shoot towards anything but the outer wall and you still hope to hell no one is on the other side of it. IMHO, you use knives and such in an apartment. Never a gun. Hopefully, he will Darwin Award himself soon before it IS a baby on the other side of the wall!
I live in an apartment, on the first floor corner, and keep a shotgun with a lighter load. Small space means I'll still protect my family and have less of a chance of penetrating the wall. Thankfully the way the floor plan is laid out I shouldn't ever be firing, God forbid I'd have to use it, towards my neighbors. To the op; take him to a gun safety class at the local range.

It doesn't matter if the shot was accidental... OP, run... away from your boyfriend... fast!!!!
This may be a shot in the dark, but I'm guessing if you leave this guy, you would be dodging a bullet.
