Today, my neighbour casually mentioned that he sold my car's GPS that I'd let him borrow. He figured I wouldn't be needing it anymore since I lost my license. FML

Today, I borrowed a roommate's car to get groceries. I came out to find the car stolen. I called the cops, and the responding officer took the info and drove me home to give the roomie the bad news in person. 15 minutes later, they found the car. I'd parked it on the opposite side of the lot. FML

Today, my car went missing. My sister constantly asks to borrow it, so I called her and asked if she had it. She swore blind that she didn't, so I called the cops and reported it stolen. They soon caught her driving the stolen vehicle. She blames me and is now telling everyone I set her up to be arrested. FML

Today, my brother "borrowed" my car and keys without asking me. He came back 4 hours later, alone and pale faced. It took half an hour of questions, interrogation, and finally threats before he admitted that my car is sitting in a ditch a few miles away, probably totaled. FML

get him to a really long drive, in a place far from civilzation .. get out of the car like a bwass taking gps with you .. then 'politely' tell him 'you don't need gps anyways, cuz you gonna die in that place' .. walk off .. get home (somehow) .. I swear the idea sounded great in my mind

Sorry OP, you're most likely out of luck..Cops won't be able to do anything without proof and small claims court would cost you more in fees than you would end up receiving. Next time, don't lend your stuff out to untrustworthy people, especially your shady neighbor!
