Today, my new neighbor informed me with great relish that the house I have just bought is haunted because 30 years ago a man shot himself in the kitchen. I'm now paying a huge mortgage on a house I'm frightened to be alone in. FML

If food began to dance in the air then I would be scared.

Consider that your neighbor might be joking. I had something like happen to myself. I was under the impression that if a person died in the house, it had to be bedisclosed before the sale.

Even if there were such things as ghosts, I've never yet heard of anyone being harmed by one. Your neighbor was probably just either being gossipy, or trying to scare you. In any case, it's your home now. Dead people don't pay rent.

Grow up. You own a house, so I must assume you are over the age of 12 and are aware that Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny don't exist. Why, then, are you afraid of a man 30 years dead? Also, no disrespect to the dead, but if he wanted to hang out around what is now your house, I doubt he would have shot himself.

Rent it out and live somewhere else. Sucks, but way less scary.

you can definatly sue the previous owner for not vacating the house completely. it sounds stupid but there was another case like it and the new buyer won...

That's not bad- some girls boyfriend shot her parents in my house for forbidding the girl from seeing him. Suck it up buttercup.
