skittlesftw tells us more.
I'm the op (just made an account) I bought the car with my money, and since they drove the car as well they paid for some maintance and insurance. They decided to sell the car without talking to me first, but said that I would be able to drive the new car they were going to buy. Turns out the insurance would be too expensve with me on it, hence the FML. Not all bad though, they feel guilty so they are sorting me out with a car once i finish uni. (only just found this bit out)

If the parents sold the car, it was in their name... which means either they paid for it or OP is an idiot for paying and putting it in their name...
sucks
maybe this is their way of telling you that you're a horrible driver
you don't know if the car is in her name or not, snice most authorized dealers won't sell teenagers good cars her parents probably cosigned on the car. second most people here probably didn't buy their first cars either. thrid the person who said they brought their car pays for insurance, gas, taxes, repairs and rent only working 16 hours a week is lying. even if you get paid 10 dollars an hour that is only 640 dollars a month minus taxes no way that could happen
precisely what I said. Unless of course that person is a rocket scientist :]
pick a really crappy one
All depends on who had their name on the ownership doesn't it? I ride the heel-toe-express so I know nothing.

Well, did you buy your car, or did they buy it for you?
