skittlesftw tells us more.
I'm the op (just made an account) I bought the car with my money, and since they drove the car as well they paid for some maintance and insurance. They decided to sell the car without talking to me first, but said that I would be able to drive the new car they were going to buy. Turns out the insurance would be too expensve with me on it, hence the FML. Not all bad though, they feel guilty so they are sorting me out with a car once i finish uni. (only just found this bit out)

You see, this wouldn't be a problem if you would have chosen a car that would have bankrupted your parents.
define "mine", you. sure the car wasn't theirs?
steal it while there sleeping
lol. I agree with #54.

LOOK!!! A POST FROM THE OP!!! @@ o Sorry for the caps; it just seemed like people were making the same comments and disregarding tge OP's comment.
*the*
Well, OP that definitely sucks and I've had it happen to me. I guess it didn't bother me because I moved out anyway afterward. You should definitely look into a cheap car to get by on for awhile. I did that, my grandma helped me out and got one for me and I drove it for a year before I finally got a better paying job where I could afford a nice, newer one. As far as TomFantastic. It is impossible, at your age, to be able to afford what you say you can on 16 hours a week. I make decent money, and by decent I mean far over the minimum wage for my state, and I work 25-40 hours a week at the age of 19 and I can barely afford all of that. Trust me, if you have a decent car on a loan then you're insurance is through the roof. Mine is. If you don't, I'm sure you still have a car mommy and daddy bought for you too. As far as half the other people freaking out, who cares if the OP had the car given to them. They are upset, stfu. It would be really hard to believe that at least half of you were never given a car of some sort, even when you were 16 and mommy and daddy let you drive their car before you could get your own. It's just stupid to attack people on the internet over something like this. If the OP is young, then their upset because they don't realize they can do it on their own too. Lay off.
Pick an ugly model and choose pink as the color.
Yep, leave them with a pink Beetle or a Buick.
bahahahaha parents crack me up
