Well, for my gym class you had to do more then just show up. You had to participate. I failed it myself. But that was because I was surrounded by a mostly homophobic class who wouldn't let me play(like, they'd just have a person replace me in a sport when we'd switch teams or whatever) So, yeah, there could be lots of reasons to justify him failing
In my gym class you had to get dressed in the correct uniform, get out of the locker room before the whistle blew and get in your squads before he started attendance. If you didn't do this you automatically got like 20 points off for the day. If you weren't in uniform you had to sit out and do written work. Our health class was also included in our gym grade so there were a lot of ways you could fail gym for me.
At my old school, I was getting an A in gym until the teacher had the bright idea to grade 32 kids playing 2 different tchoukball games all at once, by himself. People would only pass the ball to the popular kids, no matter where they were on the court, and almost ALL of them had terrible hand-eye coordination. I always put myself in great spots around the court, but nobody noticed. The ONE time I got the ball and scored, the teacher was watching the other game. I got a 50% score, which brought my A to an F. When I tried to explain what happened, he just said "You should have put yourself in better spots."
ok stupid people saying how easy it is to pass gym. first of all, I'm not a nerd at all, I play hockey all winter long and do pilates in the summer. My gym class curriculumn this year wasn't too hard, but the teacher refused to give good marks for anything but utter perfection. I literally worked my ass off in that class, participated every freakin chance I got, and only even took a break when I couldn't BREATHE from playing so hard. we did all the sissy sports instead of anything interesting cuz it was a girls gym class, it was stupid as hell. I still gave it absolutely everything and got almost perfect on my health tests (98% avg between them). I DID get perfect on the exam, and had an extremely creative culminating task. the stupid **** gave me an 80%. my friend, who wasn't co-ordinated and even tho she tried her best she couldn't get some of the skills down, got a 57%. she's an honour student as well as I am and it ****** her average. so stop your bitching about how easy gym class is.
stop being a whiney bitch
i can see this. my gym teacher grades us on everything (clothes, safety, the mile run, etc.). I have to run a 6 minute mile, or i lose one third of all my gym grade points. i just turned thirteen. two kids in my class can pass it by two seconds each, but they run cross country. it sucks.
I always hated the nerds who would never try in gym. Instead of a computer you should think about buyig a bowfelx or something
I dont think its appropriate to say this person deserved it or they are fat. Think about it.. in my school its fairly easy to pass.. you go on time, dress with the school gym clothes, and pretend to work out.. it sounds simple but there are some ways of failing such as.. if you have gym 1st period and youre late everyday you cant go to the locker room to get prepared.. or maybe this person is just a typical irresponsable kid..its easy to screw up... who knows.Point being that this person is obviously smart and screwed up just a little.. yes ultimately it is his/her fault.. but the parents are also very strict..that really sucks. and this is all aside from the fact that his/her gym teacher can be really strict or the gym class is a lot harder than ours. We dont know the circumstances..
How the hell did you manage to fail gym?

Having your grades "slip" is one thing, but FAILING gym? ydi.
To pass gym don't you have to just show up? Even if you aren't athletic all you have to do is make an ounce of effort. This feels like YDI.
