Right and who doesn't know the smell of marijuana... they supposedly know how the plant looks so why the **** don't you know how it smells (considering it does not have to be burned to generate it's distinguished odor).

If I discovered my parents distrusted me and were prepared to impose such harsh sanctions as this over something they merely suspect... Then I'd be out of there at the first available juncture. If possible, I'd provide decisive evidence that I was not growing the stuff, and then I'd leave unless I got a heartfelt apology. Once again, even if it was weed, the parents here are morons anyway and have reacted disproportionately. The fact that your proof is being ignored too makes your position wholly untenable.

Some plants look like it even though they're totally unrelated. For example, yucca root makes a delicious root that has all sorts of uses in cooking, and yet the leaf looks so much like marijuana that to this day I don't dare planting it in my little veggie garden, by fear of my idiot neighbors assuming stuff and spreading rumors and annoyance...
