If he was worried about concentrating on exams, he could have agreed to less sex and/or seeing you less often during the exam period because you both need to study (and for your roommates benefit noise-wise). It's only a few weeks, unnecessary to break up.

The excuse with the 'exams' line is obviously a lie. Find out more, there's something your dorm mates know that you don't.

Maybe if you shared your boyfriend as well as your razor with your roommates, things may improve :)
