you made the girl blow up balloons for her own birthday party!? D: ydi, for sure. that is weird though that the mother of the girl would buy latex balloons, unless NOBODY knew of the allergy?
I saw this in moderation. =) Ha, that's the first time that's happened to me.
what the hell? I always loved helping out on my birthdays - setting the table, blowing up the baloons - that was my favorite part... Why would you say YDI for asking a kid to blow up some baloons? It's not like they were making her clean the whole house or anything like that... And allergies suck. Why on earth did the parents even buy latex baloons? FYL
Hmmm alergic to latex.... she may have some problems l8r in life......
omg, now im scared. i was throwing a surprise birthday party for my friend on the field by her apartment complex and this 6 year old, who could pass for an 11 year old came and was watching me. She kept watching and i had 40 balloons to blow up, so i asked if she wanted to help. she got all excited and helped me. thankfully, she wasnt allergic or anything, but she could have been. so FYL
You made a little girl blow up balloons for her own birthday when it was your job to do so? YDI
That's the way I found out that I was allergic to latex! On my 4th birthday x)
Wow fhl! She had to blow up the balloons for her own birthday and got sent to the hospital for it. That's a horrible birthday.

I voted YDI, but I think I may have been a bit hasty. Who's to say that the allergy was well known? I mean, I know parents today, and if their child is allergic to something, they don't keep it in the house. I think if they knew she was allergic to latex the wouldn't get latex non-helium balloons. If they knew about it and still got them, they should be the ones paying the hospital bill, because it's their own damn fault there were latex balloons in the first place. Chances are they didn't know, and what a way to find you. At least she's okay, right?
Allergic to latex? Poor girl.... ;)
