Today, my son thought he'd take my new car for a drive without permission. He accelerated straight into a tree, reversed into a lamppost and then accelerated again into the neighbours car. FML

AWAY TO THE ORPHANAGE WITH HIM! :P

Hellooo military school! Sounds like either you have a very angry young man on your hands or he has little/no respect for you and your things. Either way I would suggest immediate action on your behalf to correct this behaviour lest he start a bonfire with your clothes next... while they are still in your cupboard.

You gave birth to a moron, sorry. The question you should ask is, "was it nature or nurture?" Either way, you failed.

My ex, who lives in London, didn't start driving till he was like 20-21? A lot of times, if you're in the London area, you don't need to drive, so there's a chance he could be older and just thought he could drive. Just another option... Edit: Oh, Idk where Leeds is...so this scenario might not apply!

I would be forced to accelerate my boot into his backside.

Leeds is 200 miles North of London :o)

oook, so Im going to assume a lot more people there drive instead of taking the trains/subways.

Why would you assume that? We don't have an underground, like London. But every single 2-bit town in the country has a train station. Cars are convenience. Having said that, we don't have those huge petrol guzzlers, at least the majority, anyway.
