Today, my thighs started chafing 3 hours before the end of my work shift. Now they burn no matter what I do. I still have an 8-hour shift tomorrow and I can barely walk. To make it worse, my mom's only words of advice involved me losing weight so it "doesn't happen again". FML

I don’t know what your job is, but I wear mesh basketball shorts under my work pants whenever I might get chafing. (I’m a female in construction) And I disagree with the losing weight statement. It may help, but may or may not eliminate thighs that rub. Sometimes it’s anatomy. Good luck tho.

I love how half the comments assume people can't have naturally thick thighs and not be overweight. Different body types, people, we have them!

Slather on a bunch of Vaseline and you’ll be as slick as a greased pig. (Sorry, bad metaphor..simile, not metaphor.) Not only will your thighs slide easily over each other, but you’ll be ready for action if any chubby-chasers show up.

Believe it or not, use desitan. It’s a diaper rash cream and it works wonders

I don't really know how to help the current chaffing pain (I usually just wait it out) but in the future, putting antiperspirant on your thighs where they rub together has helped me

1) opaque tights (if you're in the UK, I recommend m&s) 2) leggings 3) lanacane anri-chafe gel 4) letting your mum know that, even though it's known as "chub rub", it's more a function of hip shape, of how likely the inner thighs are to sweat and become inflamed, and of where an particular person stores fat than of how much excess fat a person has.

Put deodorant on the inside of your thighs! Like the Secret brand, so it will slide instead of drying. Once I was in Official Dress for FFA (skirt, tights, white dress shirt, flats or heels, the official jacket, and a scarf), walking more than 5 miles a day, and deodorant saved my thighs!

Look into Bandelettes on Amazon. Total lifesaver!

bandetts are good as is corn starch. you may just be built to not have a thigh gap.... it's actually pretty common. but I use corn starch of I feel like I'm going to chafe.

Baby oil and Vaseline - Apply baby oil to the thighs, then Vaseline. That works pretty well. Alternatively, wear pants I guess.
