Today, my thighs started chafing 3 hours before the end of my work shift. Now they burn no matter what I do. I still have an 8-hour shift tomorrow and I can barely walk. To make it worse, my mom's only words of advice involved me losing weight so it "doesn't happen again". FML

I don’t know what your job is, but I wear mesh basketball shorts under my work pants whenever I might get chafing. (I’m a female in construction) And I disagree with the losing weight statement. It may help, but may or may not eliminate thighs that rub. Sometimes it’s anatomy. Good luck tho.

I love how half the comments assume people can't have naturally thick thighs and not be overweight. Different body types, people, we have them!

I have that problem and I have found the only relief I get is when I put Neosporin or the off brand on it. It stops the pain and it's like it never happened by the next day. Good luck OP

Water based Lube on the affected area will massivly help x

A bit of solid deodorant/antiperspirant on the area that chaffes saves me in the summer

lube up your legs 👌 or lose weight. My legs used to do that as a kid when i was a little chubby. also maybe the pants youre wearing?

I have thick thighs too and what helps me is deodorant, No joke, just take it and apply to the area where your thighs usually rub together and it works wonders.

Monastat makes a silicone gel and you can find it everywhere. It says Monastat on the tube, which sucks because it looks like their yeast cream, but it's not expensive, you can keep it in a purse or a pocket, a little goes a long way and you can keep reapplying. When your mom finishes her doctorate in medical studies and finishes her research on weight loss and the human metabolism then it will be appropriate for her to give you diet advice.

Use Aquafor and sleep in loose fitting pants. It’s helped me greatly. And for work the next day, take a change of underwear. If you can keep things dry down there, it’ll help at least a little.
