Everyone making fun of the OP for saying she can only drink liquids clearly never thought she meant that she can't have solid foods. Maybe she is on a liquid diet, due to this swollen throat, and can only drink liquids instead of eating any solid foods....

Ok to clear up a few things, an ice lolly is another way of saying popsicle. Basically a frozen fruit juice treat although its used for the ice cream ones too like the magnums and things. Im pretty sure the OP meant that because of her sore throat she cannot eat anything she can only drink. Its a wierd way to word it but English is not the OP's first language so give the OP a bit of slack.
