Today, my wife and I were planning our nursery for our future child. She said that we'd be painting it pink either way. I asked what would happen if we had a boy. She said "Oh, he'll be gay" with a menacing glare. I'm worried. FML

Today, my wife and I went shopping for new glasses at a local store, but we didn't really get to actually buying one. On our way back, she warned me that my glasses of choice should in no way be 'those big arty ones'. When I asked her why not, she told me that I 'look gay enough already'. FML

Today, in a waiting room, my 4-year-old daughter told me she saw two guys kissing. I quietly explained that some men like men, they're gay, and normal like everyone else. I was pleased with myself until the woman across from me scoffed and muttered, "Disgusting." FML

Today, I came home to find that my girlfriend had repainted my bedroom. As she had offered to do it, it shouldn't have been a problem. However, she decided to return the several unopened cans of off-white paint that I'd bought for something "more neutral." Like "Sunset Orange." FML

Relax! If your son is gay it's not because his room is pink! I remember being pregnant and going through my nesting stage. Everything had to be perfect before the baby came! You can always change the room's color. I did about three times. Drove my hubby crazy!

I think the wife was trying to be sarcastic, saying that the notion of boys' colours and girls' colours is absurd. She was POed at the OP for his belief that somehow, having a male infant in a pink room will actually make a difference. It won't.
