i hope you charged the overtime rate.
Geez, what kinds of teachers are they hiring these days? Not a very classy or professional move on the teacher's part. Tell me you charged extra. Better to make some cash for a cute new outfit or something, than to suffer the night with some poor sap drooling all down his shirt anyway.
You don't have any friends that graduated already? Bring one of them. That's what I'm doing =]
I don't think this FML is that she didn't have a date. It's that a teacher correctly assumed that she didn't have a date.
THANK YOU! gawd. no one else is getting the actual meaning. if OP really wanted to go to prom, then she would have done so! the FML part of it was the teacher assumed she didn't have a date/ wasn't going.
wow that sucks...
Wow.....a lot of you are harsh. As some did mention, it does sound as though the OP is an underclassman since it is only then that you have to be invited in order to attend prom. To those who say that prom is a waste of time and money, you are entitled to your own opinion, but I personally enjoyed all of the proms I went to and am glad that I went. Some people enjoy getting all dressed up and going out! Plus, prom does not HAVE to be expensive....unless you have to purchase tickets to attend your prom are they are expensive.
you don't need to be invited to go...and you certainly don't need a date! personally i regretted going with a date anyways seeing as i wanted to be with my friends more than with him.
Firstly, why in the hell would you babysit your TEACHERS children? Secondly, prom isn't a party where only the "cool" kids are invited.
What #40 said.

I'm confused. Unless you're not a senior (well even that depends on where you live), why would you need to be invited?
Duuudee that sucks.
