I'm surprised your employers would allow you to come in after you had already quit.
I didn't make it past "out of the goodness of my heart" before hitting the YDI button.
agreed. your entire case is that something bad happened to you, even though you were doibng something nice. The fact that you are even mentioning that it was "out of the goodness of your heart" proves that you had some ulterior motive, whether it was getting your job back, getting some sort of reward from your coworker, or a spirtiual reward (i.e. Karma). Either that, or you are incredably pretentious, and believe that doing something good for somebody else is this huge burden on you, and makes you an amazing person. Was it a good deed? Yes, but you don't have t omake it out to be bigger than it is. I am sorry that your car was broken into, and that your ipod was stolen, but you do deserve it for not only being self serving, but for leaving out valuable things in plain view in your unattended car, in a garage, for several hours.
OR maybe it was to make the point that she was doing something without ulterior motives via exaggeration? How does that warrant her getting a YDI?
If it was at a garage then you should sue.
indeeedy
if you left the iPod or even change visible then ydi. during the garage is almost as dumb as trying to make the coworker pay though people.... garages always have signs saying they're not responsible and to leave nothing visible in a car. from the sounds of things the person doesn't buy insurance either which is dumb as that'd cover stuff stolen from the car and all.
FYL for having to deal with this when you're helping a friend...but YDI for leaving your iPod in the car, especially if it was visible. Never, ever leave your iPod in the car.
Sounds like you live in Richmond or the 757. Your life does suck.
The username alone makes this an awesome post.

Yeah, that sucks. I hate how people are so dishonest. It really annoys me when people steal stuff. (I assume your ipod was stolen from your car...)
Just goes to show you no good deed goes unpunished. FYL indeed.
