Apparently that's a federal offense, and it cannot be tolerated! Get a security camera and catch them red handed. Then beat the shit out of them.

Make a brick/rock one, set up a,camera, and the new one only have small opening so can't access it Legally that's a federal crime, because mail is federal, who knows what could have gotten blown up inside too.

3 things... 1----Why?? 2----If it's already happened twice before this, have you considered NOT REPLACING THE DAMN MAILBOX!!!!! I mean honestly, I understand fixing it the first time, but if happens a second time in less than a week, **** it, no more mailbox for me. 3-----If, for some non-apparent reason you replace you mailbox a third time, consider rigging an air horn to the inside of it so that it goes off when opened and scares the balls off of whoever is doing it ....just remember to "disarm" and "re-arm" it before and after the mail guy comes.

it is a federal offense and they can go to prison if the judge wanted them to. but it is a destruction of property as well as interfering with government regulated post.

Set up a webcam with movement detection, then blow up his hands.. or at least threaten him with it
