Well duh! If you say you're dating somebody, your friends are going to want to meet the person.
Guess what...they know you're lying.
The rule is simple: Never, ever make up a fake boyfriend or girlfriend. What's the purpose? Unless you hire someone to pretend to be that imaginary significant other, they WILL find out. There's nothing wrong with being single. I dated some guys in high school just because they liked me and I felt the pressure to be attached and therefore "normal." I regret that. Are you in high school? Plenty of people don't find someone they'd want to date until after high school and until they're well into college, and there's no shame in that.
The rule is simple: If you make up a boyfriend or girlfriend, have the dough to pay for it. 117 is right. BUT, if you are someone who has such low self-esteem that you have to make up a boyfriend, guys will never go for you. I don't know what it is, guys can sense a drama queen from a mile away, and they either try to nail them or avoid them. That being said, perhaps you should build up some self-esteem, and learn to be a mature woman. If you can manage that, you will not only end up with a boyfriend, but one who is genuinely interested in you and isn't just trying to get laid.
that was stupid.
YDI YDI YDI. I think I understand why people think you'll never get a guy.
ydi for using myspace
Tell them Nick lives up north. He's pretty busy this time of year and he's got a lot of people working for him, so he can't travel much. He *will* be in the area over the holidays, so he's stopping by to see you then, but it'll be a short visit so your friends won't get to meet him this time.
[Hit send too soon.] Also, he loves kids and animals, and he's kind of religious. He's quite the gourmand, with an affinity for baked goods, and he's very well-travelled. After the holidays, tell your friends you caught him hitting on your mom and broke it off.
You seem experienced within this field of making up fake boyfriends..
