Today, thanks to a new form of birth control, I've now been having my period non-stop for six weeks. FML

Go with the flow (haha, get it?) But no, that is seriously awful.

A lot of types of birth control do that. Maybe you should have done your research.

I'm a pharmacist -- this is sort of repeating what's already been said, but bleeding is a sign of too little estrogen. Increasing to a BC with more estrogen may be helpful. :)

I've been on the deposhot since last December. One of the side effects is spotting but its supposed to stop after a couple of months. Since I've gotten the first shot I've been bleeding non stop. I stayed on it for so long because I hoped my bleeding would eventually stop. But now I'm anemic and I'm switching to the pill.

Hey OP this is normal (if you're taking the pill and changing pills). All you have to do is take a course of your sugars and have a real period then go back on to your actives. Your body just needs a hormone break and to have a real period. Right now you'd be breakthrough bleeding. I'm assuming you're on the pill, though. That's pretty much what happened to me!

And that's why I don't take birth control anymore. All of the new ones started doing that to me and my dr said that it's normal. Um no!! So I stopped taking birth control. It's all unneeded extra hormones which isn't good for you anyway

That happened to me with the Nuva Ring. You need to stop what you're taking and talk to the dr about other options.
