So let me get this straight.. he asked you out and then dumped you when he realized you were taller then him? When u started dating, were u always sitting down so he couldn't tell how tall you were? Or are you a dumbass using words too liberally? Seems to me that if you two were really dating he would have already known you were taller than him, and wouldn't have dumped u because of that. Maybe it was because he realized you were such a loser, liking him for 8 years.

being 6'1" myself. if a girl was taller than me I would not date her either. most guys don't like girls taller than them. it's just like how I don't like blondes. just a personal preference.
