Today, the girl I have been dating for the past couple months broke it off with me. She said she's tired of waiting around for me and being ignored in the mean time. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so greedy as to finish my 2 degrees and work 2 jobs to pay for my school. How selfish of me. FML

I don't necessarily agree with her fully, but I can understand why she left, can't you? It's not nice what happened, but it's understandable and just another story of where people are forced to part ways due to different directions/wants/needs in life.

178, I'm saying that she should be just as busy and driven as he is. The first thing on her mind shouldn't be "waaa waaa my boyfriend has ambition", it should be her own ambitions and pursuits and projects. Relationships SHOULD be second priority, you have to have your own life and do your thing and be your own person. That's the definition of being well-rounded and mature. Cut the umbilical cord and explore the universe.

What's the point of being in a relationship then? I agree a person should have hobbies and goals and stuff... but if you're 100% focused on that then why are you dating? Sounds like OP is looking for a penpal or a fuckbuddy... not a girlfriend.
