Today, the girl I have been dating for the past couple months broke it off with me. She said she's tired of waiting around for me and being ignored in the mean time. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so greedy as to finish my 2 degrees and work 2 jobs to pay for my school. How selfish of me. FML

it's for the better, you have no time for a relationship anyway. soooo.... why even start one if you are going to be nonexistant? two jobs and college, that gotta suck.

you really shouldn't be dating at all think abt it from her point of view she never sees you and your gone all hours how is a realiatuonship like that supposed to work? you weren't selfish but she wasn't your priority andshe felt like she needed to be. she shouldve come talk to you but she didn't so now it's time to move on

Well if you didn't have time for her anyway, then ur not really missing much. Honestly tho, if you don't have time for a girlfriend, you really just shouldn't have a girlfriend. She did the right thing. I mean really, would you want to go out with someone who never had time for you?

You mentioned her once. Thereafter, it was all about you, your degrees, and your job. That's 3-to-1. It's a shame all of your jobs, school, and real-life-experience haven't taught you how to treat a woman.

Wow, she's so selfish for actually wanting to spend time with the person she's supposedly dating. Maybe she should have just cheated on you instead.

Sounds to me that you have a lot on your plate with 2 degrees and 2 jobs. It'd be nice if your girlfriend would've been more patient with you, but only 2 months into a relationship, you can't really expect that. Not that YDI, you're working hard to make something of yourself, and you have the right to do that. A long-term girlfriend who has fully committed herself to you - yes, I would expect her to be patient. However, that's not going to happen this early in the relationship. She shouldn't waste other opportunities waiting around for someone that she isn't sure is worth waiting for. Neither of you are selfish.

Well geez yah ****, you're so dang busy how do you expect to give your girl some attention? if you've got all that at stake why do you even have a girlfriend?

The same reason anyone does. To connect emotionally with a fellow human being.

uhmmm she didn't say it was your fault or that you could do anything about it. it's still perfectly fine to leave someone for other reasons than mistakes that they might have made.

It is the very definition of selfishness, dummy. Who would have to pay for school if you didn't work to do it now? YOU. So get over yourself and stop complaining that you have a life and mind that allows you to do something so awesome. Your girlfriend's a shallow twit, and you should grow a little perspective.
