I like how everyone assumes the OP is a shallow/heartless/sick bastard. Sure, OP could show more compassion for the old lady and her family, but it's perfectly reasonable to expect to get paid. He/she is just venting about doing all that work and ending up with nothing to show for it. Relax, people. :/
