Misread "car" as "cat" and once I'd realised my mistake, the story become far less interesting :P Knowing the details would be nice though =3
I'm not sure how to respond to this, but I will try. How did you find this all out?
This needs a follow up. Can't even say that I hope everything turned out OK because two people died
I can only hope the two that died were the ones who stole your car. Not that I'm advocating anyone dying in a shootout, but better the car thieves than innocent bystanders or police officers.
Good, criminals deserve to die. Don't what anyone has to say they were scum and it's a good thing they're dead. Can't wait to see the news where their mothers are saying they were good kids and never do such a terrible things. XD
I hear there are collectors that pay a LOT of money for something like this. Sell it at auction and buy a new car.
Well, that is obviously uncomfortable for you, but it isn't really your fault. If the criminals started a shootout with your car, they would have done it eventually. You aren't at blame here, regardless of who the fatalities were. If it was a bystander or officer, send flowers and a letter of condolences to the family or whatever else you need for closure.
My father owned an auto body shop when I was growing up. One of the things he refused to do was work on a car that someone had died in, he always said it was bad karma. He would also get a lot of bullshit insurance insurance claims that were obviously lies. I remember a time they had to repair bullet holes in the side of a car because they were a victim of a "random drive-by shooting". When we cleaned the car we found shell casing INSIDE the car.

If those deaths were the carjackers, I'd consider that a bonus.
Might not want that car back. There's a good chance it's haunted now.
