Today, the Salvation Army stationed one of their obnoxious bell-ringers in the mall right outside my store. My employees and I can wave goodbye to any form of sanity for the next month. FML

Anyone working in retail in the month of December can kiss sanity goodbye anyway...Christmas shopping brings out the crazy in people quite well

I can only imagine OP walking around the store with those headphones on yelling at the customers, "ARE YOU FINDING EVERYTHING OKAY?!"

You know what, quit being a piece of shit. They do a whole lot of good so you can get the hell over it for a few months.

Sooooo many people are not aware of how bigoted the Salvation Army is. You can clearly see that in this comment section. You'd think people would research a cause before throwing their money at it but apparently not.

the salvation army is far from bigoted. do your own research.

Could anyone explain why my comment "first world problems" would be moderated. I really don't get why.

Oh my god I know how you feel I work at publix and they're outside both entrances of the store from before Thanks Giving up until Christmas ringing the damn bell it

Ring ring ring ring ring...better than a constant ding dong I get from my work

When my father was on the verge of homelessness two winters ago (when I had no means to help him myself & he was on the other side of the country), the Salvation Army gave him a job as a bell ringer. The help they gave him got him back on stable ground. Deal with the "annoyance." This group is actually helping real people. & you never know, you may need help one day, too.

Don't give them anything. The Salvation Army uses their donations to prevent marriage equality.

that's far from what they use the money for. it goes to helping people in the community for the next year. the money they raise from those kettles is practically all they have to help those who need it

Have a heart, it's the Salvation Army AND it's the Christmas season...

The Salvation Army doesn't do a lot of good. Also... many people, myself included, do not celebrate Secular or Christian Christmas. I don't have to be fa la ******* happy for a 6 week holiday with bad music that I don't acknowledge.
