thats all just awful but not your employers fault
tons of places have access to zero public transportation and costly uber/lyft/taxi rides.
honestly sounds like dad has a problem that every one would know about (drinking) . in that scenario when you knew he was gonna drink I would have hidden my keys I do it around litterally anyone whorls drinking but losing your job is your fault. missing work because you don't have a car isn't an excuse. you weren't hospitalized and your dad wasn't dying. you could have gotten ahold of a coworker or even your manager to help find a ride it's embarrassing especially when you don't know anyone, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I was a waitress (18) and once I walked half way to work which was on the other side of town and caught a ride with a stranger and prayed I didn't die that day, all because my car had a flat and I couldn't afford to miss work

Hope your dad’s okay. That way you can tear him a new one.
In no way does it say that they loaned the car. Dad probably stole the car for the night, and that’s likely what happened. Don’t put words there like you know the whole situation.
