Well, just look on the bright side. You already know you have a problem, which means step one is done. You are embarrassed about this problem. Otherwise, you wouldn't even be posting this FML. Now you have to do something about your problem. Take a risk. Take a chance. It'll be worth it in the end. Go out, party, and have a good time. Disorders like this aren't as uncommon as some believe, and I know they can be very difficult to deal with, especially over a long period of time. Sadly, though, the only way to truly tame this disorder is to face the very thing causing it with full force.
Or OP could value his/her sensitivity and find less overwhelming ways to confront social anxiety-- join a quiet book club, host a small dinner party or BBQ, or find a meetup group based on a hobby. Those things have built-in conversation starters. Partying is probably too big a step right now, not to mention that it's not everyone's idea of a good time anyway. I don't have SAD and "partying" in the traditional sense would be agony to me. Loud music, drunk strangers, and crowded rooms? No thanks.
haha u need to start fresh somewhere else or just go crawl into a corner and die cause that's just sad dude
haha really? I call people "dude" all the time, girls included. :)
wow.
so then technically you're just waaatching partying lol.

OP, I have social anxiety as well. You don't have to live with it. Go get treatment for it. Today was my first day of treatment, so I know how you feel.

I hate that show.. That's sad, Op.
There are therapies and medications that can help with social anxiety, if it's affecting your life to this extent. I suggest you get help.
