This is why when I cross a road with traffic that regularly goes very fast I wait for at least one lane to stop for me. I've been hit by a car before- a police car, to be exact. She wasn't looking when I had the right of way. I hope you're okay, you tried your best to be safe and I know how tough it can be when other people aren't trying to be safe.
