Making strategic plans to end a relationship only drags out the process. You're over thinking it, if you don't have feelings for him anymore just cut it off quick and clean, less painful for everyone, anything else will give him mixed signals. I think you've realized from the other posts that you messed this one up, but you're human and now you know better. Do what needs to be done so you can both move on.
