Today, we had our annual office Christmas party. The theme of the party was "Ugliest Sweater". The winner was a sweater that I have an exact replica of in my closet. It's my favorite 'special occasion', 'family portrait' and 'holiday' sweater. FML

Today, I wore what I thought was a hideous sweater from the thrift store for an ugly sweater contest. I've gotten more compliments on it than anything else I've ever worn. I can't even succeed at failure. FML

Today, it was my little girl's birthday and her grandparents came over to celebrate. One of the presents from her grandparents turned out to be a sweater. She then asked, "Mommy, may I please lie?" When I shook my head no, she exclaimed, "I hate this ugly sweater!" FML

Today, my biology teacher told me that every Friday we should wear a hideous shirt to count down the last days of freshman year. So when Friday came around we decided to have a contest for most hideous shirt. I won. I forgot to wear a hideous shirt. FML

Today, as my friend was rudely rummaging through my phone, she saw a picture of the pottery I've painted her for Christmas. Not only did she see it, but she also declared it ugly. That's probably the present I'm the most proud of this Christmas. FML

she wouldnt wear her favorite sweater that she thinks is the best sweater to an ugly sweater party.....and for all of the if its a "holiday" sweater i dont think she means with a big felt santa on it. i think she means she wears it to holiday paries, maybe Christmas thanksgiving or easter seeing as she also wears it in portraits and special occasions

I'm sure the sweater looks much better on you than on your co-worker. It probably doesn't look ugly on you at all. Keep wearing it to all your special occasions and portraits.

Listen, if it is indeed a "holiday sweater," then yes, it probably is considered ugly by most people. But hey, if you want to wear holiday sweaters, go right ahead and wear them! Be merry!
