That’s a good group of people to piss off.
Did you know, it probably would have been easier if YOUR boss and accounting department had better organization of their information. It's actually your companies fault for being so mismanaged, as for audits they send in the appropriate amount of people in depending on size and accounts.
I'm an auditor and there is no work life balance. And usually our bossss are there working with us until 1 am 7 days a week as well. It's the companies that don't have a heart.
Another auditor here. I endorse this comment, except to add that sometimes the bosses really are jerks (I had one tell me, "I know that your sister just died, and you'll probably want to take time off for that, but just remember that we're at the beginning of busy season, so any time you take off for this, you're just going to have to make that time up when you get back." (Message between the lines: "Take as little time as you can for your sister's funeral.") But the majority of the time, the long hours and last-minute crunches are caused by clients who just cannot seem to grasp the concept that if their filing deadline is May 15, they cannot have us start auditing on May 13th.
Auditors have no souls, so it really doesn’t matter.
