Today, we went out to dinner to a family restaurant, and I was wearing a skirt since it's so warm out. My 4 year old scooted under the table to sit next to his brother. When he popped up on the other side, he exclaimed, "Mommy! You forgot to put on your underwears!" People were staring. FML

I think these comments are completely uncalled for. There's nothing wrong with not wearing underwear with a skirt if you're careful. Obiviously she was, because no one found out about it until the kids was under the table. I know many times I would dissapear under the table to scoot across when I couldn't get around any other way, and my parents wouldn't realize it until I popped up next to them. It was a complete accident that the kid saw anything, and not something that she would be charged with. If that was the case, my mother would get charged when I accidently walked in on her changing. Or when the bathroom door didn't latch properly and I walked in on her bath. The fact that you'll go commando is awesome. Although maybe a resturant isn't the most sanitary place to do that. so FYL for having your kid announce that to everyone.

How is this not your fault? F'in tramp.

how about wearing underwear? lmao especially with a skirt

Hey- #201- I was minding my own business. I did not know this woman existed, nor did I have any reason to talk to her until she posted her complaint onto a site that I frequent that has a comments section. I figured that once she had done that, the topic was up for debate. I guess I was wrong.

Are you from Texas?? (I have nothing against people from Texas. It just seem like the ultimate southern trailer-trash sterotype.) ... And eew, if its hot outside, why go commando?? That makes the stuff you sit on smell... gross!!

Oh c'mon, everyone. What I or anyone else wears under clothing is no-one else's problem. If she was wearing a thong and it poked above her pants, would you also say she'd done something wrong? Sheesh. She was being discrete, didn't feel like wearing underwear, and happened to get caught by someone who otherwise didn't care (her kid didn't care, really) To everyone: Why are mothers more require to wear underwear than everyone else? Something in your own tight-ass upbringing?

Why do you let your kids go under the table? Basic manners will go along way.

There is so much wrong with this. 1) That you went commando in public, to a family restaurant, with your family present 2) That your kid was under the table in the first place, instead of getting out of his chair or the booth or whatever and going around. Public restaurants are not your own, private home. Have a little decorum. 3) That you were sitting in such a manner that he could see directly up your skirt. How short WAS it? Were you perched on the edge of your seat with your legs a mile apart? Even if you had been completely commando in a miniskirt, sitting normally, with your legs together, could have prevented that from becoming public knowledge. 4) That your kids haven't been taught to keep their voices to a reasonable volume when in public. Nothing ruins eating out like other people's children shrieking stuff like this at the top of their lungs.

You really should have had on underwear hot or not if you knew you were going outside. I agree with 209 to the fullest!
