Today, we were visiting my great-grandma, who has Alzheimer’s. We spent most of the day with her and she didn't know who we all were. Time came for us to leave so when I gave her a hug good-bye, she whispered into my ear, "You're my type." FML

Well at least you are, in fact, somebody's type after all.

oh god. Awkward... as someone else pointed out, you probably resemble your granddad, who technically was her type. xD cant really blame the poor woman

all you guys are ******* sick *****, the poor woman has Alzheimer's for **** sakes making fun of someone with this disease is no more funny than poking fun at a dying kid with cancer i hope everyone laughing at this gets Alzheimer's later in life to see how funny it actually is

Ah, cancer jokes, good idea! Q. What does chemotherapy have in common with its patients? A. They both have half-lives. Q. What do you call a person who has a compulsion to get lymphoma over and over again? A. A lymphomaniac. #1 sign your prostate exam is not going well: Your doctor performs the final part of the exam with both hands firmly placed on your shoulders. Doctor: I've got your test results and I have some bad news. You have cancer and Alzheimer's. Patient: Boy, am I lucky! I was afraid I had cancer!

Alzheimers sucks. :( It pretty much tore my dad's family apart, but my grandma was always saying things like that when she lived with us which actually made us laugh and helped us deal. It helps a lot when you see the humour in everything that is said.

hahaha alzheimers does suck... maybe you looked like Granddad

I agree with #27. Hopefully the OP looks like his grandfather. Alzhiemers is a terrible disease. I had my Grandma forget who I was, then tell me that her boobs were bigger than mine when I was in fourth grade.

The last part of your comment made me laugh. I do feel sorry that your grandmother has the disease though.

at least you know the family has kept the same preferences over the years - the standards may have went way down hill if you weren't her type ;)

Alzheimers people scare the shit out of me. Two of my grandparents have it :(

#18 the OP deserved it for having a Great-Grandma... >.>
