Today, when I excitedly announced to my mother-in-law that I was pregnant, she looked at me with a blank expression and asked me who the father was. She's 45. She's not senile or suffering from dementia, but apparently just suffering from being a chronic bitch. FML

You should have told her about it AFTER she had finished rounding up the rest of the Dalmatians, she might have been in a better mood then.

And now we see why the letters of "mother in law" rearranged spell "Hitler woman"

Wait, my mom is forty five and I'm 15.... How old are you?

Seriously do the math. Your mom didn't have you till she was 30. Other women have been known to have kids earlier, especially before women started becoming more career driven. If the MIL had her son at 20 he'd be 25. (this is purely for example, I don't know exactly how old the son is… but this question is a bit annoying. Seeing that it's been asked a few other times as well)

Just because you're 15 doesn't mean everyone who has a mom that is 45 is 15 as well. Seriously, I've read 20 comments like yours.

But didn't read the other reply before mine...

What is with so many people asking the age of the OP? The mother-in-laws age has NOTHING to do with the OP since they aren't biologically related, it only affects the OP's husband. Even so, if the MILhad her son as early as 18, he'd be about 27 now. She could have even been 27 when he was born then he'd be around 18. Still legal and some people do start families that young.

Ummm...mother i"N" law. There is definitely an "n"

I swear that if anyone says that the M-I-L asked a good question or they don't get it I'm going to cyber bitch-slap them.

Seriously people.....I married at 17, my oldest daughter married at 18 making me a mother-in-law at 37. When I was 38 I had 3 grandsons, at 41 I have four. It is very easy to be old enough to marry and have a 45 yo mother in law!
