Today, when I told my family I was a vegetarian, I expected them to make fun of me because that's just my family. But what I wasn't expecting was my dad to use raw meat as a puppet and make it say, "Eat me! Eat me!" then throw it at my face. FML

Well your father seems rather accepting.

Say EAT THIS!!! And punch him in the face

At least he didn't use his wiener as the meat puppet. That would have been disturbing in many dimensions.

If god didn't want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?

Many vegetarians are not actually against eating meat, but rather against how the meat industry keeps the animals before they are slaughtered. They are largely unregulated and the conditions are really horrible for the animals and the workers. Do some research before you blindly judge a group of people please.

Your argument could also justify cannibalism seeing as humans are also "made out of meat."

Actually, I'm simply a vegetarian because I don't like the taste of meat. I am okay with seafood though. Plus some people have medical problems that prevent them from eating any meat at all.

I guess 104's boyfriend is a little disappointed

I've been a vegetarian for almost a year now and my mum still offers me duck, steak, lamb... I don't think she's got the message yet!

It's not just being insensitive. He's throwing something at your face! That's just mean. I cant imagine someone doing that to their daughter.

Anybody else wondering how the father would've reacted if OP was coming out as a homosexual? I can't be the only one...

Ah I hate insensitive people. I get stuff said all the time at work. Bit of advice though, if you ever get cravings but don't want to give in then go for something made from quorn that's been flavoured to taste like meat. Also, steer away from hard cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, etc) because most of them have animal rennet in them.

Cheddar's not a hard cheese either. Parmesan and so on are hard cheeses. Besides, a lot of cheeses that traditionally used rennet actually have a chemical replacement in them now instead. It's usually the traditionally made ones that do have it in, and they're generally quite clearly labelled with "Contains rennet". Or at least, they are in the UK.

either or, they aren't vegetarian cheeses. cheddar is a hard cheese, mozzarella is semi-hard. Look it up :)

Come on she just wants some meat in the face too. Meat flying every where made her feel left out.

She clearly wants/needs a razor. C'mon, guys.
