Today, when I went to the shopping centre, the automatic door wouldn't open for me. I had to stand there and wait until someone else walked by to open it for me. I have dwarfism and this is a daily occurrence. FML

Every single person who voted YDI should all be massively ashamed of themselves. Insensitive bastards.

This isn't one of those really funny ones. I'm so sorry that you have to live like that. Not just not being able to open those doors. I can't even imagine everything else you have to go through.. :/

Collapsible antenna with small flag attached to it. Collapses and folds to something very portable and lightweight and you can wave/flap the thing around in front of any sensor that's too stupidly placed to see you.

Exactly. That's the flag the OP should attach to it :)!

Some automatic doors are a bitch to open, stores should have normal doors too.

Every store has normal doors as well. In case the power went out, they need functioning exits

I LOVE short people. Well, I have no choice because I'm about 4'10, but still! There's nothing wrong with being short. Don't feel down, you can still enjoy the monkey bars no matter what age!

Put in a suggestion..... Maybe you could start something that could benefit you and others like you! Ask them to move the sensor lower!

I've worked at stores with doors like these, and you should be able to push them aside. They're required to be able to open that way in case of malfunction or power outage. Alternatively, if you knock, while it's embarrassing, an employee should come to let you in. I know I would've been sensitive to someone's feelings if they were too short to open the door and have let them in with a smile and made them feel welcome and try to have it be not as awkward as possible. I mean, I still agree your life sucks. Just trying to help, for in the future.
