Today, I attempted to be nice and hold a door open for a person in a wheelchair. He hit the button to open another door. While I pointed out that I would hold the door for him, I realized that the door I was holding open for him led down some stairs. FML

it was still a nice thought :) kinda don't see how it's a fml though, maybe the guy in the wheelchair should make a fml saying, "today, someone tried holding a door open for me seeing that I am in a wheelchair. I then noticed the stairs and quickly realized it wasn't a nice gesture at all when they just wanted to watch me fall down the stairs."

actually you'd probably be surprised at what disabled people can do. and please don't take my pic offensive or anything because I've had it since I created my account (which was like a year or two ago) and i didn't think I'd be in an fml like this. and sorry to those who do take it offensively.

That's terrible but you apparently need to check next time. Sounds like what happened to me today, I tried letting this creepy dude cross the street so he didn't have to wait forever for the traffic to pass cause he was on a bike and he said mouthed no to me and did the sign no with his hand.
