please dont worry about it.. shes making herself feel better.. when i was 13 i was with my aunt and holding her kid and these girls told me how beautiful my daughter was.. i was like woah. not mine im her cousin. they said i looked like 16?!? so stuff happens, let it go.
Some people on FML are really rude. So what if she has an overweight problem. Im not saying its right at any age to have obesity maybe in her case its just baby fat or something. I don't know but that does not give anyone the right to call her fat or obese or whatever else is here All she has to do is eat better little by little and maybe go out and run for like 20 minutes or so. Its better to start loosing weight young because once you get old you have to work twice as hard :/
I don't know why people get such a thrill at telling a 14 year old she's fat. Whether she is or not, how would mocking her make her feel better? To be honest I was heavy when I first started puberty but by the time I was 21, I had gotten 4 inches taller and lost 50 pounds. If she were like 30 it would be different, but you really have no idea how she's gonna look after puberty. Even if she were 30, it's not your business and you're not doing it to help you're doing it to make yourself feel better about whatever you're insecure about.
I hope you set her straight. She clearly didn't get the memo that talking about personal stuff, like body shapes, to complete strangers is usually pretty inappropriate. And, not to say that this is the case or anything, but did anyone consider that when the woman said "figure", what she meant was her curves? I mean, 14-year-olds typically do not have much of a womanly shape, maybe she just was referring to that. And also, you people who hear these stories about rude weight comments and start spouting about how if the OP wasn't "Hideously fat, obese, ugly, etc." just sound like assholes. Just saying.
You should have added "and you'll still have your wrinkles" to that. I ******* hate people like that who can't let others completely enjoy themselves. Also, even though there are way too many teen ****** today she shouldn't have automatically assumed you were the mother. Being overweight, you're probably estranged enough as it is and that bitch is jealous that you still have your youth. I hope you let her have it. With that said, I'd advise you to lose the weight now (Weight Watchers is one of the easier ways to do this). As an overweight 21-year old woman who's finally getting her act together after a lifetime of being a fatass, I wish I'd lost weight earlier when my metabolism was faster.
The people telling the 14 year old that she is fat either get a life OR go kill yourself. I bet not one of you would have the balls to be a ******* idiot to her face, but because your behind a computer screen you think its ok to be ******* douches! I ******* hate idiots! And no, before any of you dumb ***** say anything, I'm not fat, just pissed there's people who are heartless scum picking on a 14 year girl
I'm laughing right now because somebody made a comment about how people were reacting as though an obese person murdered their dog, blah blah blah and that's why they hate fat people, and I keep thinking of that Family Guy episode with Lois's brother and Peter's voice keeps going "POW! Right in the kisser! POW! Right in the kisser! POW! Right in the kisser!" over and over in my head. Maybe the fat guy from the Honeymooners had sex with their mother!
Just putting this out there, but I'm pretty sure people who are bigger KNOW they are big. You don't all have to be a bunch of ass holes and point it out like that. And maybe they ARE. Working on losing weight. I'm not saying being over weight is good at all but alot of people use eating as a defence mechanism. So for all of you people telling them they are fat and to lose weight because they look like shit it doesn't motivate them, it makes them feel worse and then they eat more. And I bet 99% of you that have posted have never been teased or made fun of so you don't know what it's like. You aren't helping at all by saying that, you make people feel worse. And if you are going to comment and call me fat, I'll help you in advance, no I am not fat. When I was a kid I was chubby and got teased and it literally destroyed my self esteem. But I worked and lost weight.
Would you have been so motivated without the comments? I doubt it. And let's be real, EVERYONE has gotten teased at least once. You can address someone's weight without teasing them. If you're 14 and fat (or chubby, chunky, overweight, whatever), you clearly already aren't being healthy because at that age, your metabolism should be at it's best (yes, some have a better one than others). Most people don't just lose that weight and if its not brought to their attention, they don't become so motivated to lose it. She'll just keep adding weight as she gets older and likely end up with Type 2 diabetes.
