Today, while at my job at a Christian summer camp, I overheard one of the kids swearing. I politely said, "Please, only speak as Jesus would." He paused for a moment and replied, "Go to hell." FML

Today, a 7-year-old girl came up to me and told me to go fuck myself. I told her to watch her language or else I'd tell her parents. Her mom happened to be nearby and actually heard the conversation; she came up to me and told me to go fuck myself as well. FML

Sad thing is, he probably didn't sign up to the camp because he wanted, but because his parents forced him. So, the kid most likely doesn't want to be there and doesn't want to change what he does (swearing).

Try to remember your a camp counselor, not Jesus. A "please don't swear here" would be a bit more suitable than "only speak as Jesus would."

When you're in charge of children and hear one of them swear, you have to tell him to stop: it's part of your job. This Jesus thing was ridiculous, though. If I were the kid, I wouldn't have taken that very seriously either.
