#4: It is, however, unacceptable to assume that groups of people taking a picture in America are foreign. The odds are against you on that one; there are more Asian Americans in the U.S. on any given day than there are Asian tourists, and many of them speak English better than the average "American"-looking person. And even if there was the possibility of a language barrier (which would be just as probable if they were white), using broken English doesn't make it any easier to understand you.
English isn't just spoken by people that have an english heritage, and being condecending is Not diplomatic. This is your fault, made you look like a douchebag, oh, by the way, are you bilingual, because i am you arsehole
#334 is right people are being way too harsh in their reaction. the OP was definitely patronising to these Asian folk, but his/her intentions were not malicious
You ass, just cuz there asians doesn't mean they can't speak good english. you sir have offended me HMPH.(im asian)
I'm asian. Anyway, yeah people have done that to me. I usually just disregard them as being moronic Americans. I mean, Ive been to a lot of countries (9) and I have never received more of that blatant "asshole ness" than from American tourists. And I have lived in America all my life, so have my parents. In fact, I dont speak chinese, which makes it even funnier. Sometimes I just reply in german to give them some confusion. I am so bored today. Any normal person would have just said. "**** you asshole. youre such a moron"
Lol omg that situation is pretty funny lol. I've been there buddy
