Today, while babysitting my neighbors' kids, their oldest son used a paint pen on the carpet. The boy blamed me and I got fired. He's only 3 and can barely talk. FML

Wasn't your job to be watching him though?

A 2 year old pointed at me and the mother accused me of rape.

I feel sorry for this poor soul. That kid is worse than the bullies at school. They are TERRIBLE!!!

He's gonna grow up to be a great congressman with his lying....

As good old Mad-Eye would have said..."CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" YDI, OP.

Even if she was watching another younger baby at the time she is still at fault. I've babysat 9 kids at once and always knew what all of them were doing. And anyway she's the babysitter. She is responsible for them during that time. If the three-year-old ruined things while she was the supervisor, it still reflects on her.

Yet another case of parents who strongly believe that their child/children are perfect little angels who could never do anything wrong. Ever. Sure, it was OP's job to be watching the kid, but kids can get into things and make messes in a matter of seconds. Hell, maybe this happened while OP was using the bathroom. Who knows.

If you were actually watching the kids he wouldn't have even gotten hold of the pen in the first place. He's 3. He doesn't know what he did wrong. It's your fault if you ask me

He knew he did something wrong if he blamed it on someone else, instead of proudly taking credit for it.

Where on Earth did the kid find a paint pen? When you have small children, you don't just leave things like that within reach. The parents should have put that up before they left.

I agree. It amazes me that no one else is mentioning the fact that the PARENTS left it down and around in the first place. Why they would believe a grown adult drew on the carpet over their curious 3 year old is beyond me.
