that's actually how I got the dog I have now... He flew out of a moving car and no one ever came for him... now I have the most loyal dog anyone could ever imagine.
I just don't understand people who are cruel to their pets. I really hope that they didn't actually throw their dog out of the window on purpose. But the fact that they didn't stop and try to save it speaks volumes about their character and they shouldn't ever have a pet. I'm glad to know that you are a kind person to animals. You saved that dog's life and gave them a happy and caring new home :)
Nice job on contradicting your own post.
Did you actually watch the dog fly out of the window 14? If not, how do you know it flew out of the window?
Suicide was probably the best option at that point- I bet you were playing "call me maybe" at high volume.
Marley and me! XD
112: the movie "Marley and Me" starring Owen Wilson has a scene where they're taking the dog to the vet to get neutered and he jumps out of the window, while the wife has a hold of him as he walks by the now-slowly moving car
Why was your window down far enough for him to jump out? YDI. Lots of people I know like to let their dogs stick their heads out the window, but at driving speeds the wind can do damage to their ears.
Not only that, but it will do damage to their neck when you have to slam on your brakes and the dogs neck slams against the car decapitating it. not to mention you will also have massive amounts of blood on the inside of your car from the headless dog running wildly around the inside of your car (kind of like a headless chicken does).
First of all, F your puppy's life more than anything. When driving you should always use some sort of safety harness for your dog in case of an accident, or in case of stupidity, e.g. when you roll the window down too far.
If he lived I bet he won't do it again it's hard lesson learned for the little guy. Even though it's kind of your fault OP.
Did you expect a different result? At least you weren't driving with him in you lap and let him interfere with your driving while jeopardizing the safety of everyone around you.
I once saw a shihtzu sitting on the drivers lap while having its feet up on the door while the window was fully down.

I hope you stopped the car and went after him.
You deserve it. I don't understand why people think it is okay to open the window big enough for pets to get out. And don't you know how dangerous escaping pet is to other drivers on the road?
