maxhhh tells us more.
OP here, just a bit of background to the story: I've had a sore throat for a few days, and I'm actually in the market for a recliner so I thought, "I'm not gonna let a sore throat hold me back from getting out!" As I was sitting down and feeling the chairs, I felt an overwhelming dizziness and nausea, and before I knew it, I puked all over myself and the seat of the recliner. Turns out I have a stomach bug now. FML x2... I am getting it cleaned though, so it should be good as new! I enjoyed the comments; Thanks a lot guys!!! :)

This is one reason i would never buy furniture that is display stock, you have no idea who's been all over it or how clean they are. And if your complaint is that they made you buy it, then it was your own fault. They can't very well sell a vomit stained recliner to someone else now can they, nobody would buy it.
Dumbest idea ever. It is common knowledge that many stores make you pay for the stuff you ruin, especially expensive stuff like furniture. Otherwise they'll lose out on the money since they can't sell it.

Wait. You went out with a sore throat to a public place. I know I'm gonna get buried for this, but if you're sick, you should stay at your house. Not only is it bad for you to go out, as this fml demonstrates, but you could also get other people sick, whether it's just a sore throat or strep. This is why I'm sick a lot, because people don't know how to stay inside when they are sick.
I agree. OP for the purposes of teaching you a lesson, you deserved what you got.
That's why you get sick a lot, #92? Not for any other reason than "Hey, you! Guy on the street! I just caught your cold."
That's kinda of rude, #95. It would really suck if one day YOU were unlucky enough to be sick without someone to do your shopping for you or whatever, and you starved to death. Some people have to go out, because no one else will do it for them.
There is a huge difference between the need to buy food and the "need" to buy a recliner. Mainly that no one ever has a genuine need for a recliner. I agree with # 95 that sick people should stay indoor for anything non-essential. If everyone did, it would cut down on the amount of time everyone got sick.
I'm not saying people going out while they're sick is the only reason I'm sick a lot and I'm not saying he deserved it. I'm just saying, op could have waited until he wasn't sick to buy a recliner. And I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just pointing it out. and like 115 said, the need for food and wanting a recliner are different circumstances.
#95 if that was the case, I would basically never leave my house. Some people get symptoms of sickness A LOT and it's not always a serious ailment. Sure, if I knew I had a bug, I wouldn't leave the house, but I feel ill on basically a daily basis. There's no way of knowing if it's just my body reacting to things or if I actually am ill.
Did the store have a "You puke it , you buy it" sign? If not, post a review of the store cautioning those with morning sickness to NOT shop there. With luck, you'll get a message from corporate offering a freebie or discount.
Why would they do that? She ruined their property and naturally she had to pay for it. It was completely her fault and leaving nasty comments for her own stupid mistake would just be disrespectful.
Now you know to sit outside...enjoy your new chair...
Okay, so since my phone won't let me comment on my comment, I'll just have to post a new one... I don't know why so many people have disliked my comment. I mean, why did the OP go to a furniture store to sit down when she could have just stayed home or gone home? It makes no sense to me. Could someone please explain to me?
The OP was in the market for a new chair, and didn't want being sick to get in the way of buying one.
steam cleaning it will get it out just don't wait to long to do it.
Who goes to a furniture store to take a break...
Don't stores like that have insurance for this kind of stuff?
