Today, while getting on the subway, I tripped over the gap between the train and the platform. My flip-flop caught on the edge, and fell into the gap. I had to walk home with one flip-flop. FML

And yet there are people in third world countries with no shoes, who get their feet cut and diseased... your life is FAR from ****** OP, there are people way worse off than you! Be grateful you even had one shoe.

How the hell is someone supposed to be grateful they have one shoe, when they first had two. This comment makes absolutely no sense. Thereby, I doubt the people in third world countries would like to have only one shoe, it is incredibly annoying to walk like that.

I think the whole point of FML is posting about lifes little shitty moments and sometimes huge ones but, just because one persons fml doesn't compare to 3rd world country horrors doesn't meant it's not an FML to them.

OHMYGOD, it could be worse, you could have watched your mother get raped and father be murdered and be left a homeless orphan living under a bridge with NO SHOES... I like the fact that a lot of FMLs are fairly minor things compared to life's horrors. It makes them easier to laugh at.
